Mother and child from Shung Dynastry. 200 BC
Inspired by a s wall hanging made in stone of a proud mother with her child. Who is this mother ? She lived sometime in the 200 BC to 185 BC. Since her jwellary is less intricate and she does not have any attendants so she should not be a queen. May be she is the wife of a rich merchant as she is wearing a lot beautiful jewelry. She has dressed up her kid in a beautiful crown. and stone jwellary. Even in 200 BC the expressions of a mother and her happiness is the same as today's mother

This painting is painting replication of ancient Indian artifact from around 300 BC .
This shows a very fashionable couple with their child and a pet parrot. They should be rich traders because He is not carrying any weapons but wearing a lot of jewelry. The pose of the couple is just like what modern couple would do in a family photo - The man is circling her shoulder and the kid is holding on to her bottom dress. Seems like the wife is in love with the parrot and has instructed her husband to carry a leaf for the parrot and he is following his wife's instructions. Also, it is interesting to see how the wife has small weapons like knife in her bun. This is shown in many sculptures of that period
